This year we are looking to raise money to aid our Vehicle Extrication Team in their quest to attend the T.E.R.C. Southeast Regional Extrication Symposium and Competition in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.

The Margate Vehicle Extrication team has grown tremendously over the past 6 years.

With multiple first and second place finishes at the local level, the team progressed to a first place finish in 2005 at the South Carolina Extrication Challenge.

Also, in 2005, the team competed at the T.E.R.C. International Extrication Competition and placed fourth in the world in the "limited" division.

The team travled once again to South Carolina for the H.E.A.R.T. Challenge in 2006. This was a regional event for T.E.R.C. The team completed the challenge with a first place overall finish.

Last year the team was unable to compete due to budget cuts and lack of outside funding. This is why we are holding this event to continue to improve the skills of the Margate Vehicle Extrication Team - thus improving the life-saving skills of extrication throughout the department.
